Halloween was nearly three weeks ago. Three weeks ago? THREE WEEKS AGO! I had to check my calendar to be certain, but it was indeed three weeks ago! Yikes.
About four weeks ago, I decided on my Halloween costume and was more excited by it than any other costume I have ever had--with the exception of my Scarlett O'Hara dress (and hoop) in the fourth grade.
Tragedy soon struck the home of McChesney when Halloween rolled by, and not one piece of my costume had been delivered to my doorstep. So, I did what any normal person would do... I painted my face and went as "Pop Art" ..but, no one understood what I was. I decided at that moment that as soon as all the pieces of my costume can in the mail, I would dress up regardless of how long it took.
...it took three weeks, and today I am Linda Belcher!
Sure, I have gotten some stares--I am working the front desk of the library after all, but who cares? Life is too short not to enjoy every single ounce if it!
Maybe I'll dress up for Thanksgiving too!
